Blathers can now identify fossils himself. Wi-Fi compatibility was introduced (though it has since gone defunct due to the shutdown of Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection). The rest have made their debut in the Japan-exclusive Animal Forest e+. However, out of these 72 villagers, only 18 of them are brand new. Some buildings are gone.
